Hotel Management - Level 4


Course content

IAM The Diploma in Hotel Management is accredited by the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH). It aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international hotel industry, and a knowledge of the underlying principles involved.

You will study the following 10 modules:

How the course is assessed.

Each of the modules has a two and a half hour examination, set and marked externally by CTH.

Length of course - 12 months

Entry requirements - Good English language competence, IELTS band 5.0




Advanced Diploma Level 5

Course content

The Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management aims to provide an understanding of the managerial, decision making and leadership aspects of the international hotel industry. The course also allows for developing study skills and independent research which will be required when working at senior managerial level in this field.

You will study the following 6 modules:

  • Food and Beverage Management
  • Strategic Management
  • Facilities Management 
  • Management Accounting
  • Human Resource Management
  • Management Research Report

How the course is assessed.

Five of the six modules are assessed by an assignment and a three hour examination. The sixth module is assessed through a 5000 word Management Research Report. All assessments are marked by CTH.

Length of course - 12 months

Entry requirements - Good English language competence, minimum IELTS band 5.5.
