Student Visitor Visa
What documents/information will you need to apply for a Student Visitor visa?
A valid travel document or passport and any previous passports
- One passport sized colour photograph. This must not be more than 6 months old.
- The correct fee
- If you are not a national of the country in which you are applying, evidence of your permission to be in that country e.g. a residence permit, visa, green card
- Evidence to support the information you have given
- Evidence of how your trip is to be funded (bank statements)
- Unless single, evidence of your marital status e.g. marriage or civil partnership certificate, divorce certificate
- Finances and employment
- Evidence of your current employment/self employment/occupation/work/studies/other means of support
- Evidence of your total monthly income from all sources of employment or occupation after tax
- Evidence of any income from other sources e.g. friends, family, savings, property etc
- Evidence that you have been unconditionally accepted or enrolled on a course of study in the UK i.e. a letter from the school or university
- Evidence of any previous study or qualifications gained in the UK
- Evidence of any English language ability or qualifications e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic
- Evidence of the cost of your course fees
- Evidence of all other costs relating to your studies in the UK, e.g. flights, accommodation, food, exam fees, books etc
- Evidence of any money paid out towards the cost of your studies, e.g. deposit towards your course fees, flights, accommodation
- Evidence of any funds set aside by your financial sponsors specifically to pay for your studies, their occupation, income and any savings or assets they have.
If you have decided to apply for the English language course at EDC the process is as follows:
- Complete the College ‘English Language’ application form online or download from the website.
- Submit the application form with all the documents required in the check list given on the front page of the application form.
- Submit the £300 registration fee (this fee is non-refundable whether you are granted a visa or not).
- The application form will be processed and interviews conducted or the College will arrange for you to take an English Language test.
- If the College accepts you for the course you will receive an ‘Offer Letter’ which contains the information of your course and fees.
- If you accept the place on the course and we receive your course fees, the College will send you a ‘Visa Letter’ which you will need to submit with your Student Visitor visa application.
